Philosophy

Adventure Camp Development Center's Primary purpose is to provide high-quality developmental child care which offers a nurturing, loving environment and curriculum for families with young children ages 3 through 6 years of age.

We strive to provide an enviroment with an atmosphere that enhances the five developmental areas of your child's growth: social/enviromental, language, cognitive,creative and physical. We encourage children to explore and discover individually, with thier peers, and with supportive adults in a stimulating, child-appealing environment.

At Adventure Camp we plan for, and accept different levels of ability and a variety of learning styles among the different age levels. Regardless of individual skill development, interest, maturity,and physical abilities, all the children have the need to feel safe, accepted and respected by others around them.

As parents, you may rest assured that your child is safely cared for by highly trained and experienced staff who have proven thier dedication to children and the family unit. At Adventure Camp we strongly feel that today's children are tommorrow's future, and we feel very blessed to be able to help with the development of your child.

Program Curriculum

Developmental Curriculum is offered to each child at his or her developmental age and ability. Your child will participate in a variety of activities involving structured and free-choice learning periods and activity periods. The lesson plan focuses on the basic developmental areas of growth ( social/emotional, physical, language and cognitive). It highlights the specific activities centered on themes and events in each of the developmental areas.

Cultural Diversity and Holidays

Cultural diversity and holidays are incorporated into our regular curriculum. We recognize a large variety of holiday and cultural celebrations, including birthdays and Christmas. We do not teach specific religious beliefs, but will teach the importance of being kind to one another in a peaceful enviroment

Outdoor Play

Outdoor play is a special paert of the day at Adventure Camp. Fresh air and exercise are important to the total health of a child. We have a large outside area with lots of room to explore and play. We will go outside every day that weather permits. Children are expected to go outside with the group. Make sure your child dresses appropriately for the weather conditions and for outside play. If your child will need to stay inside on any day, due to sickness, injury, or another reason, please keep your child at home since we are not staffed provide sick care.
